How well can you do at a 8th grade science test?

24 Sep

Well, it seems that I’m not that good at science :P Though I think it is ok since 9 years have passed from the moment I’ve finished 8th grade. So I’m kinda good. I probably will remember everything when I will have kids and I’ll have to learn everything again with them.:)

Leonard Cohen in concert

22 Sep

An amazing show I was truly waiting for.  Leonard Cohen has finally came to Bucharest. I’ve been to the concert last night.

He was brilliant, at 74 years old, he is really impressing. He sang for 2 and a half hours and has put a memorable show. The crowd was also very impressing, they sang Happy Birthday to him, since yesterday was also his birthday.

These are images taken from the concert. Unfortunately they are not mine. Since I couldn’t take my camera. The copyright belongs to Karina Knapek, Bogdan Iurascu and Dragos Stoica from Jurnalul National.

And here is a beautiful fragment from youtube:

500 years since the first printed book

20 Sep

Liturghierul lui Macarie 1508Today we celebrate 500 years since the first book was printed in Romania, with a Johannes Gutenberg printing press. The book was the Missal of Macarie (or in Romanian “Liturghierul lui Macarie”). This was the first Missal printed by the Orthodox Churches.

We also celebrate 320 years since the first print of the “Bucharest Bible” and 150 years since the printing of “Sibiu Biblie” by Andrei  Saguna, the mitropolit of Transilvania.

You can read more about the story here.

Tom Fishburne and Brand Camp

18 Sep

I was just browsing the other day and I have stumbled upon Tom Fishburne’s website. Tom is a cartoonist who works in marketing. He started Brand Camp in 2002, which has grown by word of mouth to reach thousands of marketers each week and appears regularly in bogs, web sites and publications such as Brandweek, Market Leader and Asian Wall Street Journal.

I really enjoyed his cartoons, which are brisk and full of passion for the marketing media.

Here are my favorite ones.
